Quote for the day
Today a poem from Thich Nhat Hanh.
I hold my face in my two hands.
No, I am not crying.
I hold my face in my two hands
to keep the loneliness warm –
two hands protecting,
two hands nourishing,
two hands preventing
my soul from leaving me
in anger.
“To keep the loneliness warm”. A lot of what I do, and have done over the last almost 18 months, has been designed to keep the loneliness warm. Sometimes indirectly, sometimes I’m just distracting it.
I’m a dad to the awesome Harry and Cara, a widower, and a learner; slowly attempting a fools errand to make sense of the world, and writing about the thoughts and ideas that pop into my head along the way.
